Evernote – my solution to short term memory loss

evernote logo It’s a sad but true fact, that I am one of those people who you can tell something to, and five minutes later I can’t remember it. Maybe because I have too much happening around me, or maybe it’s because I work for a company where multi-level multi-tasking is imperative to getting through the day. Regardless, discovering a tool like Evernote drastically changed the way I operate on and offline during work and outside work!

About Evernote:

Our goal at Evernote is to give everyone the ability to easily capture any moment, idea, inspiration, or experience whenever they want using whichever device or platform they find most convenient, and then to make all of that information easy to find.

And we’ve done just that. From creating text and ink notes, to snapshots of whiteboards and wine labels, to clips of webpages, Evernote users can capture anything from their real and digital lives and find it all anytime.

Evernote is an independent, privately held company headquartered in Mountain View, California. Major investors include Sequoia Capital, Morgenthaler Ventures, Troika Dialog, and DOCOMO Capital.

Evernote - remember everythingMallory’s Evernote:

Like I mentioned before, constantly multi-tasking can be a gift or a curse. I have been lucky enough to travel all over the world, work for several amazing companies and be a social media addict. Having an infinite amount of info in my head is now finally coming into place with the use of Evernote. Every time I see something cool, I clip it to Evernote. When I see a recipe I want to try, a place I want to visit, a song I want to download, a pair of shoes I want to buy or a Christmas present for somebody special, I clip it to Evernote!

I have been a pretty faithful Chrome user for a while now, but having the amazing Evernote web clipping tool has made me switch back to Firefox. With one click, the page you are viewing is instantly made into a note and saved in your account.

Twitter addict? Evernotes new twitter feature @MyEN is a really cool tool I recently discovered to help you save tweets, pics and direct message also right to your account. Check out this Note Worthy blog post to set up your twitter + Evernote link.

I could go on for days, but ill wrap it up for now. I would really recommend you check out this awesome company if you have not already done so. It can take a bit of getting used to, but after you get the hang of it, you wont be able to live without it!

The CoveteurNew York Fashion Week officially starts today, and Vogue.com has linked up with a new website, The Coveteur, to find out what the key players (from the designers to the models to the nightlife kings) think necessary in order to survive their grueling schedules over the next ten days. Once we got their lists, we asked them to assemble their essentials for a portrait shot by photographer Jake Rosenberg (with the help of cofounders Erin Kleinberg and Stephanie Mark). Here are the enviable—and informative—results.  – Vogue.com
